The Mowing & Slashing business. is a mobile business, the administration activities are handled from a home-based office (part-time) and all the mowing and slashing machinery and attachments are stored at the owner’s private premises. The main operation of the business is “mowing & slashing” and the flow of business comes through council contracts, real estate agencies and private work. Three times a year the business is engaged to complete mowing & slashing for the Scenic Rim Council up and around Tambourine. Further to the Scenic Rim jobs they also receive instructions from Council to slash properties that have over-grown grass issues, or possibly require a fire break to be mowed in, the property owner would have been contacted by council prior to the business being notified by council to rectify the property.

The owners are heavily involved in their golf course business which leaves them time poor personally to contribute regularly to the mowing & slashing business, which is approx. 15 to 20 hours P/W (in a management role only).
